I'm not a big fan of rebates at all. I'm still waiting on a $30 rebate which will probably arrive when I turn 45. This, however, is a rare exception to that rule. Memory for the Mac is very hard to get because of it's price point. I'm pretty sure it's because of the not-so-public Apple Tax. I've never paid a lot of attention to the Kindle simply because I'm not an avid reader of any kind, but it came to my attention when I worked for Random House, Inc. this past summer. It looks like e-books and e-book readers are going to be the future of the publishing industry.

I've seen a few Kindles but never actually held one in my hand. At Random House, Inc. they were issuing Sony e-book readers to a couple of their employees. If the above is to be believed, then Kindle fans have something to look forward to!
