You Give Me, I Give You

5:36 PM / Posted by Nico Atienza / comments (0)

Hey People! What's going on? I just finished my only final which means the Spring '08 semester is officially in the books! Yippee! It's going to be a long summer, but I'm looking forward to it.

Grand Theft Auto IV rocked the whole world last week. I'm not even kidding. I just went over to my buddy's house to play it and it was ridiculous. I was running around snapping pictures with my camera phone and shooting out tires. Running around assassinating people never looked this good. This game is truly one of the year's best. Here's your chance to snag it with a nice little reward. I thought I had a deal for it but apparently it expired. Damn you Circuit City.

Instead, what I have for you today is a nice little deal for a Wii Fit Preorder.

Wii Fit (Preorder) w/ Bonus $10 Online Gift Card

Walmart Price $89.74, free in store pickup with $10 GC

Apparently, there are some Nintendo Wii Customer Choice Bundles in stock at Wal-Mart. I see the usual 'Quantities are Limited' spiel. Jesus Christ, these things are harder to spot than sasquatch. If you haven't snagged one yet, I suggest you do. Don't be tempted to buy it more than the $250 retail. Paying any more than retail is simply a ripoff. Just be patient and wait for the stores to stock up.

Microsoft Office Ultimate Steal

Oooohhwee! Check this deal out! Microsoft is offering Office Ultimate for $59.95 exclusively for students! That's a steal because you get the whole suite for half of the price of the "Academic Version" which only has Excel, Word and Powerpoint. This offer runs out on the 30th of April, so go get it if you need it! You might also want to check your school's bookstore for this deal because many, including mine, have a campus alliance deal with Microsoft so they get it for cheap!

Airline Meltdown?

3:02 PM / Posted by Nico Atienza / comments (0)

Talk about the subprime meltdown, I won't be surprised if the airline industry is on the brink of a meltdown as well. My girlfriend's airline officially stopped service to our town and her ticket to New York over the summer was null faster than George Bush's receding hairline. Sigh.

Here's a funny, but possible look into the future of airlines.

Not the 'Best Buy'?

How stupid do you think we are, Best Buy? I'm pretty sure we can insert (safely or otherwise) into our XBOX360s! Sheesh!

Oh my Wii-ness!

5:10 PM / Posted by Nico Atienza / comments (0)

Gosh, everybody loves the Wii. It's like the little kid at the party that can do tricks. Of course it's minuscule (in almost every way) to it's bigger PS3 or XBOX360 cousins, but it does the job nicely from a lot of folk. Me, included!

Since it was released, getting your hands on a Wii was like getting a photo of Tom Cruise picking his nose. Really, it was that hard. EBayers and resellers reveled in the fact that Wiis were a hot item and often jacked up the prices for prospective Wii buyers.

Luckily for you, I found a place that had some in stock. Toys 'R Us looks like they have some in stock but have cut off online sales (within the past hour no less) so people lucky enough to have Toys 'R Us in their neighborhood can go pick one up. It's a good deal with the standard Wii console package and Super Smash Brothers bundled in.

You might also try your local Best Buy or Gamestop and see if they have any units in stock. This is definitely going to be running out very soon
